Compressor Housing Design

Role

You are a mechanical engineer at a compact compressor manufacturer, responsible for the molded structure that holds the compressor together.

Objective

Design the missing injection-molded PPA housing and integrate it into the supplied compressor assembly. Deliver an editable SolidWorks model, corresponding native drawings, and a manufacturing plan for review.

The motor drives an eccentric and a rocking connecting rod with an integral piston. Filtered air enters the drive chamber, passes through the piston inlet valve, and leaves through the cylinder head's outlet valve. The housing must locate the mechanism, carry its operating and fastener loads, and form the filtered inlet chamber. The design must permit mold release, practical assembly, and routine servicing.

Deliverable

Save the complete native assembly, parts, and drawings in C:/workspace/output/cad, following contract/contract.json. Save C:/workspace/output/submission.json with the model paths, configurations, parameter bindings, and occurrence selectors required by the submission schema. Submit a manufacturing plan to C:/workspace/output/manufacturing-plan.md.
